It’s in a sidebar to a story about how terrible the opposition to the current health care reform bill is, but here are the highlights:
- “10 million workers could lose employer-provided benefits and would have to find other insurance” if the bill passes.
- Medicare Advantage covers about 10.2 million Medicare recipients and “provides additional benefits, such as vision, dental and hearing, to seniors and helps coordinate health care for those with chronic conditions.”
- Senator Johnny Isakson had nothing to do with the so-called “death panel” provision included on this House bill.
- The AARP has not endorsed the current bill nor anything like it.
